(Without the Stress)
Hosting an afternoon tea sounds beautiful—but it can quickly feel overwhelming.
What should you serve? How much do you need? How do you make it feel elevated without overcomplicating everything?
The key is keeping it simple.
KEEP THE MENU CURATED
A well-balanced tea doesn’t need a long list of items.
Focus on:
2–3 tea sandwiches
scones with jam and cream
1–2 desserts
tea (and iced tea for warmer weather)
When the menu is intentional, everything feels more elevated.
FOCUS ON PRESENTATION
How your table looks matters just as much as what you serve.
Soft linens, layered serving pieces, a bit of height, and fresh flowers go a long way.
Less, but better.
PLAN AHEAD (JUST A LITTLE)
A small amount of planning keeps everything calm and enjoyable.
Prep what you can ahead of time and give yourself space to set everything up before guests arrive.
